Admission Criteria

For Bachelor of Applied Computing, the applicant must have;

 

Have completed SCBIT Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Information Technology or equivalent.

Have met the University's English language requirement:

 
Academic IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band; or TOEFL 550 with no less than 4.5 in the Test of Written English; or Computer-based TOEFL 213 with no less than 4.5 in the essay rating; or Equivalent.

For Advanced Diploma of Information Technology, the applicant must:

 
Have completed Diploma of Information Technology or equivalent.
Have met the SCBIT's English language requirement:
Academic IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.0 in any band; or Equivalent.

For Diploma of Information Technology, the applicant must:

 
Have completed Year 12 (HSC) or AQF qualification Certificate IV in IT or equivalent.
Have met the SCBIT's English language requirement:
Academic IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.0 in any band; or equivalent.

Teaching Methods

 

Each Diploma and Advanced Diploma unit typically involves 4-hours of lectures per week and 2-hours or 4-hours of laboratory or tutorial sessions each week. Each University coursework unit typically involves one 2-hour lecture per week and one 1-hour or 2-hour laboratory or tutorial session each week.

 
 

Assessment Methods

 

Assessment methods for Diploma and Advanced Diploma units include competency based assessment, laboratory-based assessment, presentations, reports and formal written exams. Assessment methods for University units include laboratory-based assessment, presentations, reports and formal written exams.
