Requirements for Award
A. To be eligible for the award of Graduate Diploma of Community Development a candidate shall successfully complete not less than eight (8) units comprising:
i. All units from Part A of the Schedule of Units; and
ii. Five (5) units from in Part B of the Schedule.

You will gain a greater understanding of the principles of working with communities and how these impact on the ethical consequences of disasters. The program will also enhance your skills and ability to help communities cope with major emergencies and disasters. |

This program grew out of a United Nations imperative to provide training for communities so that they could proactively work to reduce the effects of disasters. Students from all around the world, working in both paid and voluntary capacities, are able to network online to add another dimension to the learning and development outcomes of this program.
Early exit points are also available at both the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma levels.

Career Opportunities |
|
The program is aimed at those who work (or wish to work) in emergency services or humanitarian organisations, including aid workers in developing countries, community development workers employed in non-profit organisations and government departments anywhere in the world.
